Bishop Auckland under 10's take on Barnard Castle

This was an excellent game that both teams showed from the start they really wanted to win. The first try went to Bishop with a great drive from the forwards, Matthe B, Stuart & Cameron to allow Harry to pass to Easom who fed the ball to Sam who made one of his powerful runs and scored. Barney were quick to reply with a good move that allowed them to score in the corner, this was followed by another push from Barney that allow Jamie to show his powerful tackling to stop the move. The ball was passed by Jordan along the line of backs including Matthew H, Perry, Liam & Toby who made up lots of ground, this lead to a strong drive by Robert which allowed Cameron to score a try. The second half started were the first half had left off all players giving 100%, this lead to Barney scoring a try to bring the score back to a draw. Bishop continued to push and were passing the ball well and supporting each other, this lead to Sam getting his second try and putting Bishop back in the lead. Yet again Barney pushed and found an equalising try, Bishops heads did not drop they pushed and pushed only for Barney to break free on the last move of the game, Harry gave chase and managed to make the tackle meters from the try line. The game ended a draw 3 try's each all players on both sides were outstanding and both sets of coaches were very proud. The man of the match for Bishop (nominated by the opposition coach) was Matthew Brumskill, well done Matthew.
